Apollo Perelini, the Executive Director of the UAE Rugby Federation and High Performance Manager of the National Teams, has tendered his resignation, concluding a distinguished ten-year tenure dedicated to developing the sport within the Emirates. During his time, Perelini established a model of professional operation that was instrumental in reshaping the entire structure of UAE Rugby, from the national teams and technical infrastructure to the age-grade development programmes.
The UAE Rugby Federation signed a joint cooperation agreement with its Qatari counterpart with the aim of strengthening the partnership between the two federations in the fields of management, training, arbitration, and exchanging experiences.
Emirates Airlines today announced its partnership with the Asian Rugby Confederation, becoming a major sponsor of the Asian Rugby Confederation, embodying its continued commitment to developing the sport of rugby and expanding its scope to new markets. The new multi-year partnership allows the carrier to enable the Asian Rugby Federation to invest in various rugby tournaments, sevens tournaments and the 15-player category, in addition to the Asian Rugby Championships, which are held with the participation of 36 countries.
